Effective 2026-10-28 · v2 (credit validity · monthly plans · payment reseller)
1. The service
miro (the "Service") provides tools for editing long videos into vertical shorts. It includes highlight extraction, captions, translation, narration and rendering. You own, and are responsible for, the output you produce.
2. Accounts
- Accounts are created and accessed with a Google account (we don't use passwords), and you are responsible for keeping your Google account secure.
- The operator may suspend accounts found to be abusing or misusing the Service.
- You can delete your account yourself from the account page; how your data is handled follows the Privacy Policy.
3. Credits
- The Service runs on credits. You receive them through a monthly plan or by buying extra credits, and they are deducted only for work that has a cost, such as edit requests and renders.
- If a job fails because of an error on our side, its credits are refunded automatically.
- Credits for work that was delivered successfully are not returned. You can request a refund for unused extra credits within 14 days of purchase. You can cancel a subscription at any time; it stays active until the end of the current billing period, with no prorated refunds.
- Credits have a validity period. Subscription credits expire at the end of their billing period (no rollover); extra credits and sign-up credits expire 90 days after you receive them. Credits that expire soonest are always used first. Credits received before this version takes effect (2026-10-28) have no validity period.
- Prices are quoted in US dollars (USD), excluding tax. Amounts shown in other currencies are approximate conversions for reference; the actual billing currency and amount are set by your payment method.
- Payments are processed by our reseller, Paddle, acting as Merchant of Record; Paddle handles card details, tax calculation and receipts. miro never receives or stores your card number. Until card payments are available, top-ups are requested and confirmed by the operator. Prices and credits per task are on the Pricing page.
4. Your obligations — rights to your footage
- You may only add videos you own the rights to or are licensed to use to the Service.
- When you use CC BY footage, you are responsible for meeting the license terms, including crediting the original creator. The Service checks licenses when footage is collected and downloaded, but this does not replace your own duty to check.
- You are responsible for any output that infringes third-party rights, and the Service may stop processing the footage in question at the rights holder's legitimate request.
5. Prohibited conduct
- Using another person's account or credits without permission
- Disrupting the normal operation of the Service (for example, automated bulk requests)
- Processing content prohibited by law, such as illegally recorded footage
6. Availability and interruptions
The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, outages or equipment issues. If a job in progress fails because of an interruption, its credits are refunded. We'll post a notice on screen if the Service changes in a significant way.
7. Limitation of liability
The Service does not guarantee the quality or suitability of automatically edited output. The Service is not liable for damages arising from free features or from causes attributable to you. In no case will the Service's liability exceed the amount you paid in the last 3 months.
8. Changes to these terms
We'll post a notice on screen 7 days before changes take effect (30 days for changes unfavorable to you). If you keep using the Service after the effective date, you are deemed to accept the changes.
